| Both thickness and size contribute to what determines the weight of glass. First you will need to determine the square footage of you glass order. Simply multiply the length and the width. Now divide your result by 144. This gives you the square footage. Look at the table above and find the thickness of the glass you are figuring. Now multiply that by your square footage result. |
| Suppose you ordered a top that was 1/2" thick and 42 x 72 in size. Multiply these numbers together. Your answer should be 3024. Now divide that number by 144. You should have 21. The chart above shows that 1/2" thick glass weighs 7.5 pounds per square foot. Multiply 21 by 7.5. Your glass table top weighs 157.5 pounds. |
